A word or two from Stan:

Dear site visitors and fans,

It’s not often, no in fact it’s never, that I put a message on the site like this, but I needed to let everyone know what’s going on and to explain the

band’s absence and to clear up some rumors. First of all, I’m not dead! Not yet, thank God. I’ve been in bad health the last couple of years, but I’m getting stronger, slow but sure. Turns out, I had a hideous case of scurvy. Yeah, I must have picked it up when I was sailing of the coast of Tortuga. Well, that’s coming along nicely.

The reason the band is taking time off now is because I’m getting throat surgery in May. It will be at least three to four months before I can perform with the band. We are really looking forward to that time. In the meantime, we’re working on a new CD. We’re recording it at Joe Abbondanza’s Asylum recording studio. The studio is a “world class” facility, complete with Sound Stage. Interested parties can contact Asylum Studios at (717) 567-7166.

Speaking of the studio, I’d like to give a shout out to the band “Funktion.”  They’re friends of the studio and friends of ours. I encourage you to check them out.

I’m also still playing out with my trio. Please check us out at the Rock Bass Restaurant. That’s the Stan Middleton Trio. I play piano, my brother Charlie plays guitar and sings, and my son, Gabriel, plays bass. It’s kind of an unplugged version of the band. Come on out, we’d love to see you. Also, the band is looking forward to playing at the “Gas Station” in Hummelstown, with our good friend, Stuart Delves.

In closing, I want to thank you for your support through the years. Next to my family, music is the most important thing in my life. I’m a blessed man for being able to play music with family and friends all these years and I’m truly looking forward to returning with the band I love. “One more time, baby!”

Sincerely,

Stan Middleton
